John Mitchell is guitarist, vocalist and songwriter for It Bites. He also features in a number of UK progressive bands including Arena, The Urbane, Kino, Frost, John Wetton and Blind Ego. It has also recently been announced that he will play bass for A, in place of original bass player Daniel P Carter when they support The Wildhearts on their December 08 UK tour.

He is also a music producer and engineer at Outhouse Studios, a recording studio in Reading, UK, where he has recorded and produced music for a number of bands including Enter Shikari, Funeral for a Friend, Architects, Girlschool and Saving Aimee.
