The Peekskill Metro-North Railroad station serves residents of Peekskill, New York via the Hudson Line. Trains leave for New York City every hour on weekdays and about every 25 minutes during rush hour. It is 41.2 miles (66 km) from Grand Central Terminal and travel time to Grand Central is approximately one hour, seven minutes. It is the northernmost station on the line in Westchester County.

It is noteworthy for being just south of one of the rare grade crossings on the Hudson Line. The gates to the parking lot thus remain down as long as any northbound train is in the station. It also has the only staffed ticket office (open 6:10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. weekdays) on the Hudson Line between Croton-Harmon and Poughkeepsie, in the former station built by the New York Central in the 19th century.

Connections

*Westchester Bee-Line Bus Routes 16 and 1909

Trivia

* A 1943 New York Central schedule lists Peekskill as the northern terminus of its Hudson Division commuter service. Trains continuing north of Peekskill were "long distance" trains, continuing not just to Poughkeepsie but also to Albany and other destinations.
