Gran (TV series)

"Gran" was a stop motion animation narrated by Patricia Hayes and directed by Ivor Wood. There were only two main characters, namely Gran and her grandson, Jim.

Michael and Joanne Cole of Woodland Animations created thirteen five-minute episodes in 1982. The series was broadcast on the BBC between February 17 1983 and May 12 1983 [ [http://www.toonhound.com/gran.htm "Gran" at Toonhound.com] ] , and was repeated in 1986. The shorts were also shown in the U.S. as part of the Nickelodeon series Eureeka's Castle.

ynopsis

Gran is no ordinary grandma. Along with her grandson Jim, she takes part in weird and wacky adventures including digging up dinosaur bones in her back garden, growing runner beans up a skeleton, hang gliding, knitting a giant scarf to wrap around her house and cross-country motorcycle racing.

Each episode sees Gran taking part in something completely unusual whilst constantly wearing her pink slippers.
