Peter Dennis Anderson (born September 11, 1932) was an English professional footballer, playing as a winger. He was born in Devonport, Plymouth.

Peter Anderson began his career with local Devon side Oak Villa whilst studying at the Astor Institute, signing for Plymouth Argyle in July 1950. His league debut for Plymouth came in April 1953 against Brentford at Home Park. He stayed at Plymouth for over 12 years, clocking up 241 appearances in the league, scoring 41 goals. In December 1962, he moved to Torquay United, scoring on his debut in a 2-0 home win against Hartlepools United on the 2nd of February 1963. He remained a regular until the 1964-65 season when he lost his place to Bill Atkinson, before moving to Saltash United in 1964. In 1978, he moved to the North American Soccer League where he extended his career a few more years. That season, he played six games for the San Diego Sockers before transferring to the Tampa Bay Rowdies for three games. While he remained with the Rowdies through the end of the 1980 season, he saw time in no games in 1979 and only five in 1980. [http://nasljerseys.com/Players/A/Anderson.Peter.htm]
