Oscar Pablo Cavallero Rodríguez, Cavallero (born April 13, 1974 in Lomas de Zamora), is an Argentine football goalkeeper, who is currently signed to Club Atletico Peñarol from Uruguay.

Club career

During his career, Cavallero played for Vélez Sarsfield, Unión de Santa Fe, RCD Espanyol de Barcelona, Real Club Celta de Vigo and Valencian Levante UD (all in Spain's "La Liga"). After about one year without professional football, he moved to "Primera División Uruguaya" outfit C.A. Peñarol.

During his time with Celta, Cavallero won the Ricardo Zamora Trophy in 2002-03, as the Galician side eventually reached the UEFA Champions League. He allowed 27 goals in 34 games, a goals-per-match average of 0.79.

International career

Cavallero played for Argentina and was a participant at the 1996 Olympic Games and the 1998 and the 2002 World Cups (starting in the latter).
