St Scholastica's College (commonly referred to as Schols), is a day and boarding, Roman Catholic school for girls, located in Glebe, an inner-city suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

Established in 1878 by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan, the College provides a moderately-priced Catholic-based education to girls from inner-Sydney and rural New South Wales, and currently caters for approximately 720 students from Years 7 to 12, including 80 boarders from international, remote and urban areas.

St. Scholastica's college prides itself on its values of Harmony, Compassion, Stewardship, Hospitality and Wisdom, which can be seen throughout the school, its teachers and its students. St. Scholasticas also holds importance on creating strong young women through education. This could be seen through the schools 2007 HSC results where it was ranked 75th in the state by the Daily Telegraph, performing better than Monte Sant Angelo Mercy College and St. Vincents college.

The uniform was officially changed at the start of 2008 in a refreshment of the school, which includes the addition and refurbishment of many new buildings and the embracement of new technologies such as interactive whiteboards. Stage 2 of this building plan is expected to be completed by the end of 2008, ready for the 2009 school year.

The schools quietly excells in sport with a large sport program. The water polo, touch football, netball and soccer teams all do exceptionally well, playing in the Catholic Girls Schools Secondary Sports Association (CGSSSA) competitions and in local competitions on weekends.

The school operates its carnivals under 4 sporting houses which are named after historical people in the schools history:

The school is well known for its work in indigenous education, supporting indigenous girls through specialised teaching, subjects and bursaries. The schools indigenous population is far greater than most other schools in the area and because of this, the school was featured on the ABC's '7:30 Report' in July, 2008. The year 12 class of 2007 decided that for their gift to the school, they would set up a fund for indigenous education which has been developing through 2008. The school also pays great importance to NAIDOC week, 'Make indigenous poverty history week' and many other campaigns for the health and financial positions of Indigenous Australians.

History

St Scholastica's College was founded by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan in 1878, on a site in Pitt Street where Sydney's Central Railway Station now stands.
