Ray Arvizu (born Reynaldo Arvizu) (
1953 -August 9 ,2001 ), better known as Ray "Daddy" Arvizu, was a prolificblues andjazz saxophonist, working with famous musicians such asCharlie Musselwhite andElvin Bishop . Ray also worked and recorded saxophone in his early years with Richard Pinal in Bakersfield during the years of 1975 - 1976.He died on
August 9 ,2001 fromrespiratory infection , resulting from a freak accident five years earlier when a piece ofnightclub ceiling fell on him, broke hisback , and led topulmonary hypertension .External links
