The Munster Senior Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Bank of Ireland Munster Championship) is the premier "knockout" competition in the game of football played in the province of Munster in Ireland. The series of games are organised by the Munster Council and are played during the summer months. The Munster football Final is normally played in July.

Kerry are the most successful, having won the Munster championship 74 times. They have also won the championship 8 times in a row on two occasions, (1958-1965 and 1975-1982), the most consecutive wins in any of the Provincial Football Championships.

The Munster Football Championship is run on a knock-out basis in which once a team loses they are eliminated from the competition. All of the counties of Munster participate in the championship. The winners of the Munster championship go on to qualify for the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship quarter finals.
