Ordzhonikidze, Ukraine

Ordzhonikidze (Ukrainian: Орджонікідзе; Russian: Орджоникидзе) is a city of oblast subordinance in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast of central Ukraine. It is located at around 47°40′N 34°3′E / 47.667°N 34.05°E / 47.667; 34.05Coordinates: 47°40′N 34°3′E / 47.667°N 34.05°E / 47.667; 34.05. The city is named after Sergo Ordzhonikidze.

The city was founded in 1883 as a miner settlement Prychypylivtsi near a manganese mine. The city of Ordzhonikidze is located on the site of the Chortomlyt Sich of the 17th century.
