Ilija Bozoljac

Ilija Bozoljac (Serbian Cyrillic:Илија Бозољац) or Ilia Bozoljac (born August 2, 1985 in Aleksandrovac, SR Serbia, Yugoslavia) is a professional male tennis player from Serbia. He turned pro in 2002. He is 6 feet 4 inches tall (193 cm).

On January 29, 2007, Bozoljac achieved his career-high singles ranking: World No. 101.

2006, His Best Year

2006 was Bozoljac's best year. In January, he had his best result at the ATP level in Zagreb, beating #170 Dudi Sela to qualify and then beating #77 Daniele Bracciali and #34 Feliciano Lopez before losing to #81 Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals.

2008

In May, Bozoljac narrowly missed qualifying into the 2008 French Open, losing to #75 Eduardo Schwank in the qualifying round.

In June, Bozoljac entered the main draw of 2008 Wimbledon as a lucky loser, after beating #299 Nick Monroe and #167 Robert Smeets but losing to #201 Stefano Galvani in the qualifying round in 5 sets.

Personal

In native Serbia, Bozoljac's prominence stems much more from his eventful love life than from his tennis achievements. His relationships were well documented in Serbian lifestyle magazines and tabloids throughout 2007 and 2008.

In November 2006, he started dating Ramona Amiri, 2005 Miss World Canada who's five years his senior. By the end of 2007 their relationship was over and Bozoljac soon hooked up with "Playboy" model Anastasija Buđić in early 2008. Their relationship became public fodder in March 2008 when she became a contestant on "Veliki brat VIP" reality show (Serbian Celebrity Big Brother). Despite not mentioning him by name in live broadcasts, Serbian media soon figured out that the "boyfriend" she keeps referring to is in fact Bozoljac.
