The Alexandrian Rite is officially called the
Liturgy of Saint Mark, traditionally regarded as the first bishop of Alexandria. Their present liturgy contains elements ofByzantine Rite of Saint Basil and the Liturgies of Saints Mark, Cyril, andGregory Nazianzus . This rite is divided into two rites, that is, The Coptic Rite and the Ge'ez Rite. Primarily located inEgypt , The Coptic Rite uses the Coptic andArabic language in its liturgy at both Coptic Orthodox Church andCoptic Catholic Church . Living inEthiopia ,Eritrea ,Jerusalem , andSomalia , The Ge'ez Rite is used at bothEthiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church , Eritrean Orthodox Church, andEthiopian Catholic Church in their liturgies.External links
