Edward Tilden Siever (April 2, 1877February 4, 1920) was a pitcher in Major League Baseball. He played seven seasons with the Detroit Tigers (1901-02, 1906-08) and St. Louis Browns (by|1903-1904). Born in Goddard, Kansas, Siever had four good seasons and one pheonomenal season in his brief major league career. In by|1902, Siever posted an American League-leading 1.91 ERA despite having a 8-11 won-loss record. Siever'a Adjusted ERA+ of 191 for the years is the second-best (after Hal Newhouser in Tigers franchise history for a pitcher with more than 150 innings pitched. ("See Detroit Tigers award winners and league leaders") Ironically, Siever won fewer games in 1902 than he did any other full season he played. Overall for his career, Siever had a 83-83 record with a 2.60 ERA, and pitched in the 1907 World Series.
