Twentysomething (term)

A twentysomething is a person in the age group of 20 to 29. Such a person may also be termed a vicenarian. The current crop of twentysomething are people born from , to CURRENTMONTHNAME CURRENTDAY .

History

The term "twentysomething" first appeared in the late 1980s as a play on the earlier term thirtysomething from the 1980s television show of the same name in the United States.

Twenty Something also is the title for a Canadian weekly webseries created by Jill Clark in 2007. The show features Clark and a panel of her friends - Comedienne; Stacey Prieur, CTV Producer; Katie Coristine, model; Samantha Crowther and former dancer; Sabrina Taylor - discussing topics of interest to women in their twenties. While the format is a weekly discussion, the show's fans have come to adore the show for their irreverent comments, reliable information and entertaining subtitles - inserted by the show's producer, Brett Heard.

The show also has a regular rotation of Clark's extended circle of friends that include sports caster Caroline Frolic, journalist & former Miss Toronto Marie Nicola, and Chickadvisor.com creator Ali de Bold.
