Coit D. Blacker

Dr. Coit Dennis Blacker served as Special Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security Affairs and Senior Director for Russian, Ukrainian and Eurasian Affairs at the National Security Council under National Security Advisor Anthony Lake during the Clinton administration. He is the current director of the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies[1] at Stanford University and a Study Group Member of the National Commission on Terrorism. He also teaches a popular sophomore college course at Stanford on United States foreign policy in the 21st century.

His nickname is "Chip."
