Spero Dedes is a Greek-American sportscaster born in Paramus, New Jersey. He is a 2001 graduate of Fordham University in New York.

At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Dedes was the youngest member of NBC Universal's on-air team at 24, calling play-by-play in field hockey and other events. At 26, he has already worked play-by-play assignments for 3 of the 4 major U.S. television networks.Fact|date=February 2007

During his call of the 2006 Texas Bowl, he was criticized by "The Star-Ledger" of Newark for stating that Rutgers University was located in "South Jersey." Later in the telecast, he corrected himself by stating that the university is actually located in central New Jersey.
