Francis Plowden

Francis John Plowden is a lay member of the Judicial Appointments Commission. [ [http://www.judicialappointments.gov.uk/about/chair.htm Judicial Appointments Commission] ]

Plowden is Chairman of the Greenwich Foundation for the Old Royal Naval College [ [http://www.oldroyalnavalcollege.org/the-greenwich-foundation/greenwich-foundation-trustees,55,AT.html Greenwich Foundation Trustees] ] and Chairman of the National Council for Palliative Care. [ [http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/2613909.stm BBC NEWS: Care boost for terminally ill] ] He was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers until 2001, where he was responsible for public policy and management work world-wide. He has previously held board positions in the public, private and voluntary sectors. He has been a lay member of the Judicial Appointments Commission since January 2006.
