Klaus Biemann is a Professor Emeritus of chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His work was centered on structural analysis in organic and biochemistry. He was admitted to the United States National Academy of Science in 1993. He has been called the "father of organic mass spectrometry." [cite book |author=Chung, Deborah D.
