Millburn Academy (Gaelic: Acadamaidh Allt a' Mhuilinn) is a six-year secondary school in Inverness, Scotland. It serves the portion of Inverness east of the River Ness along with rural areas to the south of the city, with a catchment area that includes the primary schools of Crown, Daviot, Drakies, Inshes, Raigmore and Strathdearn. The school runs parallel to the 'Mill Burn' which was originally used for Whisky distillery. The distillery is now gone and has been replaced by a chain hotel.

History
In January 2007 construction work began on the building of the new Millburn Academy, which is being built on the school's existing playing fields. The ground which the school currently occupies will become the new playing fields. The £26 million development project founded through the PPP agreement will see the construction of a state-of-the-art building with a range of classrooms with specialist facilities, an integral base for children with special needs, a four court games hall, a gymnasium, dance studio and all weather pitches a library and a performance venue with bleacher seating.
School badge and uniform
The school has had two badges in its history. Both are very similar. The first was designed by the former head of Art and Design at the school, the late James Cameron. It consists of:
- A torch: the symbol of learning;
- A mill wheel and water which operated on the Mill Burn;
- An eagle, the symbol of St John and the school motto, "Strive to Achieve".
The second badge is a variation of the original which was adopted by the school as the result of a majority vote held by pupils and teachers in 2004. In 2005 the school adopted a dress code which was voted on by pupils, parents and staff. The uniform is: Black or white tee/polo shirt with the Millburn logo, black or white shirt with the school tie, black sweatshirt or fleece with the Millburn logo, black trousers or skirt and appropriate footwear. It is hoped to introduce some new items of schoolwear to mark the entry to the new Millburn Academy in October 2008.

The building consists of 3 floors. The ground floor is made up of the support for learning, guidance, physical education and technical departments. A notable feature is the huge sports hall which is situated in the centre of the building. The first floor is made up of the business, history, geography, modern studies, religious education, mathematics, music and science departments. The spiral staircase in the main foyer leads up to the social area which is largely made up of pupil lockers. The second and top floor is made up of the English, modern languages and art departments. This is the smallest of the three floors.
The school also has a large grass playing field and a fourth generation astroturf multi-purpose pitch. The car parking facilities are available both adjacent to Diriebught Road and Victoria drive.
