Roberto López Ufarte (born
April 19 ,1958 , Fes,Morocco ) is a Spanish footballer, nicknamed "the little devil". He played forReal Unión ,Real Sociedad ,Atlético Madrid ,Real Betis and Spain.López Ufarte spent the majority of his career as a winger at
Real Sociedad , playing 363La Liga games and scoring 112 goals between 1975 and 1987. With Real he won back to backLa Liga titles in 1981 and 1982. He also won theCopa del Rey in 1987, scoring in the final for Real againstAtlético Madrid . In 1987 he signed for Atlético and helped them finish 3rd inLa Liga . During the 1988/89 season he played forReal Betis . Between 1977 and 1982 López Ufarte won 15 caps for Spain, scoring 5 goals, and played at the1982 World Cup held in Spain.After a knee injury forced him to retire as a player, López Ufarte joined the
Real Sociedad coaching staff and has worked as an assistant to various managers, includingJohn Toshack .Honours
