Antilles, Bail

SW Character
name=Bail Antilles

caption=
color=Republic
source=
position=Senator of Alderaan Sector
species=Human
gender=Male
planet=Alderaan
affiliation=Galactic Republic
portrayer=Adrian Dunbar

Bail Antilles was slated to appear in "", though his scenes were ultimately cut from the final edit. However, in the film, Captain Panaka mentions Bail Antilles - along with Ainlee Teem of Malastare - is in the running to replace Finis Valorum as Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic.

Senator Antilles was a long-time servant of Alderaan, having been Senator for several terms. Antilles served on the Internal Activities Committee of the Galactic Senate, and was the one who informed Chancellor Valorum of charges of corruption filed against him after a failed trade summit on Eriadu. After his failed bid for the chancellorship, Senator Antilles refused to seek another term, and instead allowed his son in law, Senator Bail Organa, Prince of Alderaan, to secure the senatorial seat. Antilles had two children, Breha Organa and Raymus Antilles. Raymus Antilles is the captain of Organa's blockade runner, the "Tantive IV", which can be seen in both "Revenge of the Sith" and "A New Hope". Breha will become Queen of Alderaan and adoptive mother of Leia Amidala Skywalker.

Antilles died on Alderaan in retirement as the Galactic Empire came to power. Until his last breath, he criticized Palpatine's regime, and attempted to convince Senator Organa to withdraw from the Republic. His advice fell on deaf ears, and his dying words would be inspiration for Mon Mothma's Declaration of Rebellion nearly twenty years later.

Bail Antilles was played by Adrian Dunbar in the scenes excised from "Episode I". The character is sometimes mistaken for Dunbar's intended role, Bail Organa — adoptive father of Princess Leia, played by Jimmy Smits in "" and "Revenge of the Sith" — and indeed his likeness was used for pre-"Episode II" incarnations of Organa.

Bibble, Sio

SW Character
name=Sio Bibble

caption=
color=Republic
source=
position=Governor of Naboo
species=Human
gender=Male
planet=Naboo
affiliation=Galactic Republic, Naboo Royal Advisory Council, Royal House of Naboo
era=the Clone Wars, the rise of Palpatine's New Order, the Galactice Empire
portrayer=Oliver Ford Davies

Sio Bibble was governor of Naboo in the final years of the Galactic Republic and oversaw all matters brought to the Queen's attention. He also chaired the Advisory Council, and dealt directly with regional representatives and town governing official in day-to-day administration.

Early Political Career

His childhood saw Bibble shine amongst the other political students in Theed as something as a legislative genius. At the age of twenty-one, he was appointed as the senatorial representative for Naboo in the first Galactic Republic. His marriage did not damage his political career; becoming a husband and a father made him certain of his responsibilities to instill in his fellow senators a sense of wise and just leadership. These qualities would later be an inspiration for Padme Naberrie.His first apprentice was Palpatine, a young man whom he deemed brilliant as a legislator. It came as no surprise that he was chosen as Bibble's replacement, when Sio decided to serve as a Royal Adviser.

The Trade Federation's Blockade

During the Battle of Naboo when the planet was blockaded by the Trade Federation, he was the first who assumed that an invasion would be made by Federation forces. He remained behind when Queen Amidala followed the Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi Wan Kenobi to Coruscant to seek help from the Republic Senate. Though he was tempted by Viceroy Nute Gunray, he remained strong to his ideals of democracy and freedom. After Queen Amidala liberated Naboo with the help of the Gungans, Bibble attended both Qui-Gon Jinn's funeral and the celebration, and exchanged the globe of peace with the Gungans.

His Concerns About The Galactic Republic

During the events leading up to the Clone Wars Bibble had opted to remain in the position of Chief Governor of Naboo, after Padmé Amidala abdicated, later becoming Naboo's new representative in the Galactic Senate. He showed his concern for her when an assassination attempt was made on her life. He was also concerned about the steady fall of the Republic into civil war. However, he never realized that his former apprentice, Palpatine, was secretly behind the threads of treachery and conspiracy, that were undermining the stability of the Republic. Unbeknownst to anyone else, he contacted the Supreme Chancellor in secret about his fears. Expertly, he calmed Bibble's anxieties.

His Later Years & His Death

A few years later, the Republic fell during the Clone Wars but the ideal of "freedom" remained in the minds of people like Sio Bibble. His appearance in the film was brief, appearing only in the funeral march held for his former queen, Padmé Amidala. He was also present at the funeral of Jamillia's successor, Apailana, which was held in secret. Once Imperial rule set in, he was forced to witness Naboo's political and civil needs severely sidelined by Palpatine, who regarded the planet as having no value to the Empire whatsoever. The final straw came when he was in the process of negotiating a new trade agreement with Alderaan. As Bibble was on the verge of finalizing it, the Death Star opened fire on Bail Organa's homeworld, obliterating it. Sio was, at first, unaware what had happened, putting it down to a fault in the transmission generators. Later that day, he witnessed an angry crowd gathering around a statue of Palpatine, who were trying to destroy it. He then came across Ryoo Naberrie, weeping, and she told him what had happened, and who was responsible. Sickened by Palpatine's and Moff Tarkin's actions, Bibble suffered a massive stroke, and he passed away, with his wife and children at his side, a few days later. The people of Naboo's hopes for Bibble's services to be recognized by The Empire were crushed. Grand Moff Jamillia, on one of her very rare visits to her home planet, dismissed him as a pathetic idealist, and Emperor Palpatine never announced the news to the Imperial Senate.

Gav and Jori Daragon are hapless explorers that inadvertently allowed Naga Sadow to invade the Republic in the Great Hyperspace War. Left to fend for themselves after their parents were killed on a mercy mission in a warzone, they turned to the dangerous occupation of hyperspace navigating, mapping new hyperspace lanes in the uncharted frontier of the known galaxy. After several unsuccessful attempts at mapping useful hyperspace courses, they fell into despair with no home and no ship; Aarrba the Hutt would not give them their ship until they paid for the repairs done to it in his service dock.

With nothing to lose, Gav and Jori stole their ship back and escaped into unexplored hyperspace, hoping to make their fortune, but their path landed them right into the heart of the Sith Empire. They were promptly captured and sentenced to death as the precursors to an invasion. Naga Sadow covertly freed them from the prison on Ziost to use them as pawns in his grand scheme. Sadow began teaching the Force-sensitive Gav Sith magic, and tricked Jori into fleeing back to the Republic without her brother. Unbeknownst to Jori, Sadow had planted a homing device in her ship and now knew exactly how to get to the far off Republic — to conquer it.

Jori made it back safely to the Republic, and broadcast a warning of the coming invasion; but Jori stumbled headlong into her own tarnished reputation. She and Gav had left under bad circumstances, skipping out on large debts and obligations, fleeing the law. No one would listen to her accounts of the fabled Sith Empire and was instead dragged off to prison. After escaping from a prison colony, Jori managed to get her warning to the Empress Teta, who had already learned of the Sith's intentions from her Jedi advisers and was preparing her defenses.

Meanwhile, Sadow gave Gav command of the Sith invasion fleet because of his knowledge of the Republic. He grudgingly accepted the command, but gave it up after realizing how much death and destruction Sadow's war was causing. In an attempt to kill Sadow, Gav was stranded aboard Sadow's meditation sphere as the Primus Goluud star exploded. Jori, however, survived the war and became the new owner of Aarrba's Repair Dock.

Dofine refuses to meet with Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi when they board the "Profiteer", instead suggesting that the protocol droid TC-14 go in his place. When Nute Gunray contacts Darth Sidious to inform him of the Jedi's arrival, Dofine openly questions Sidious' plans, declaring the blockade finished and refusing to go against the Jedi. Dofine is hereafter barred from voicing his contentions to Sidious by the Sith Lord himself ( "Viceroy, I don't want that stunted slime in my sight again!"), but is allowed to remain in command of the "Profiteer". Dofine is killed when the vessel is destroyed by Anakin Skywalker during the Battle of Naboo.

His cousin, Lushros Dofine, appeared later in "Revenge of the Sith" as Captain of the "Invisible Hand".

Three thousand years before the Battle of Naboo, Gallo refused to enter a war between Gungan tribes. While gathering food for his village of Otoh Sancture, a pack of bursas completely destroyed the city.

Gallo struck a deal with the swashbuckling Captain Marsune, trading some animals called nerfs for workers to rebuild the city. While rebuilding the city, Gallo learns the Gungan warlord Boss Rogoe sent the bursas to kill Gallo. Gallo recruits an army sufficient to drive out the remaining bursas.

Gallo, along with Captain Marsune and his small band of soldiers, aided the bosses of other Gungan cities, uniting them in their quest to vanquish Rogoe. The unified forces invaded Rogoe's huge fortified stronghold, Spearhead. Rogoe was killed when Gallo's forces destroyed his underwater structure

Shortly after the destruction of Spearhead, Boss Gallo founded the city of Otoh Gunga, shown in "The Phantom Menace".

Gise, Flac

Flac Gise was an advisor for Chancellor Palpatine and was a close friend of him before he arose to becoming Palpatine's advisor during the Clone Wars. One of the diplomatic missions he was sent on was a trip to Sembla where he convinced his native people to join the Republic, and become an outpost in that part of the outer rim, and supply the Republic with orchids vital for healing potions and poisons.

When Order 66 was enacted Gise realizes Palpatine's intentions. He appeals to the Senate questioning Palpatine's executive powers. The Senate does not listen, and Palpatine labels him an enemy of the empire as well did the newly-created imperial senate. His ship is destroyed trying to escape Coruscant by a squad of ARC 170s.

Flac Gise is a Vurk and hails from the watery world of Sembla and is Jedi Master Coleman Trebor's distant relative. Born on Telos, Xanatos' homeworld, he wants to help the Sith destroy the Jedi order. Even though he is not Sith himself, he believes he can draw power from the mysterious Sith Holocron, apparently the next best thing.

Omega commits many terrible crimes throughout the series; for example, he is responsible for Jedi Master Yaddle's death (and would have been responsible for the destruction of the city of Naatan and the deaths of Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi if Yaddle didn't stop him). Soon, he begins to work with Jenna Zen Arbor, and kills many Senators in the process.

Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker set off to stop him, accompanied by Ferus Olin, Darra Thel-Tanis, Tru Veld and their masters Siri Tachi, Soara Antana and Ry Gual. In a climactic duel with Omega on Korriban, Obi-Wan charges at him and cleaves him nearly in half. Zen Arbor escapes, but the Jedi believe that she would be easier to track without Omega's wealth to conceal her.

In "The Last of the Jedi" series, it is revealed that Omega went to Korriban to meet with Count Dooku.

Kalgrath

Kalgrath (also known as "The last of the Massassi") was a Massassi warrior who was transformed into a large (~3 meters), green monster by Exar Kun through Sith alchemy and was put into hibernation underneath the Temple of Fire to guard the temples of Yavin 4 after all his people were exterminated by the Jedi counterstrike against Exar Kun. This process turned him green, made him essentially immune to blaster fire, rendered him mute, and otherwise turned him into a fearsome beast. After the Battle of Yavin, Kalgrath woke due to an Imperial TIE fighter crashing into the temple, and began attacking the Rebel Alliance forces there. Luke Skywalker could not defeat him, and instead lured him onto a cargo ship with the aid of R2-D2, and set the vessel on a course towards the location of the historical Sith Empire. To his chagrin, Skywalker would years later discover that all the Massassi had perished, and that he had sent Kalgrath looking for his people believing they were still alive. Kalgrath's ultimate fate is unknown but Tionne believes he eventually came to the planet Ziost, where he lurks and waits.

Monarch during the Galactic Civil War, Kylantha was outwardly loyal to the Galactic Empire, but had implemented few changes to Naboo's democratic government - as had happened on other Imperial-held worlds. This led many to believe she was actually a Rebel sympathizer. In reality, she was not an Imperial supporter, but neither did she support a return of the Republic and even the Alliance, quite possibly remembering the last decades of the Republic when the Senate failed her world so badly.

She also issued an order to investigate the mysterious death of the late Queen Apailana, which still remained unsolved but she believed that the assassinations related to the Empire.

Kylantha's rule was longer than most of her predecessors, but it is unknown if she was appointed queen for life. She also appointed Pooja Naberrie, niece of former queen and senator Padmé Amidala and cousin of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa as Naboo's representative in the Imperial Senate during the years of the Galactic Civil War.

Moe later became a renowned senator on Coruscant for his efforts in the peace talks between the Gran and the native Dug citizenry on Malastare. He was assassinated after his speeder exploded shortly before the Clone Wars. Moe was replaced by fellow gran Ask Aak as senator of Malastare.

Narmele, King

King Narmele was an ancient King of Naboo, the homeworld of Padmé Amidala. His reign took place around 2,000 BBY. Known as "the Explorer," Narmele colonized Naboo's swampy moon of Rori. There is still a colony there that bears his name.

Nate

Nate (short for A-98), is an ARC trooper who led a commando group on Ord Cestus, under Obi-Wan Kenobi and Kit Fisto. There he developed a relationship and eventually had a child with Sheeka Tull, Jango Fett's former girlfriend. She was frustrated by his lack of humanity and worked to show him a life beyond duty to the Republic. He then took on the name Jangotat (Mandalorian for "Jango's brother"). Eventually, Jangotat sacrificed his life to save thousands of civilians, even though it meant violating a direct order. He had developed a new perspective and morality, and knew that he was following the spirit, not the letter, of his orders. ref|Nate1

A veteran of the Naboo Space Fighter Corps, Ric Olié was the leader of Bravo Flight and had the honor of flying Queen Amidala's Royal Starship to and from Naboo. Answering directly to Captain Panaka, Olié was capable of flying any craft on Naboo.

Ric also served in the Battle of Naboo as Bravo Leader, leading Bravo Squadron into battle against the Trade Federation's droid control ship and the Clone Wars, in which he defended Naboo and its neighbouring worlds against attack by the Seperatist movement. He later joined the Rebel Alliance, during which time he tutored many pilots in training, including Wedge Antilles, who would later become a squadron leader himself. Ollie was killed during the Battle of Dantooine, whilst defending a village on the planet from Imperial bombardment.

He is occasionally referred to as Captain Obvious in fandom, due to his tendency for arguably unnecessary exposition (i.e. "There's the blockade!" or "Fighters straight ahead!") Fact|date=February 2007

Ommin

King Ommin of Onderon is a fictional character in the "Star Wars" Expanded Universe up until the end of the Beast Wars. He was a direct descendant of Freedon Nadd, and like all the Kings before him, practiced his ancestor's Sith magic. In his later years, his body was supported by a metal lattice, his muscles and bones having been warped and literally decayed by the dark side.

Ommin followed the typical path of an Onderonian ruler- he was born to the ruler of the great walled city Iziz, heir to the realm and its vast cache of Sith artifacts and documents, not least among which was a sarcophagus in which mouldered the corpse and Sith spirit of the great Dark Lord of the Sith, Freedon Nadd. Ommin was tutored in the dark side by his father, much like his other lessons in diplomacy, etiquette, history, all geared to teaching him the effective use of power. The dark side lessons drew him as the other did not, and he mastered what his father could teach. His achievements would be crowned by his success, upon his accession to the throne, in compelling Nadd's spirit to manifest and instruct his lineal descendant further in the arcane secrets of the Sith.

Ommin at around this time married a beautiful Force-sensitive named Amanoa, with whom he had a daughter, Galia. Inevitably, Amanoa discovered Ommin's immersion in the dark side and sought to save him. Ommin refused, and tried to instruct his wife in what he knew. She acquiesced, secretly convinced their love would prove stronger than his attachment to the dark side. She thought wrong; she had badly overestimated her resistance to the corrosive lure of the dark side, and she fell, becoming an outstanding Sith sorceress.

As his body failed, Ommin turned over "de facto" rule of Iziz to Amanoa.

Eventually, Amanoa would nearly start a war with the exiles and Beast Riders, and called in the Jedi to mediate. The Jedi rendered an unexpected verdict and turned on the royals; Amanoa confronted their leader, the famed Jedi Master Arca Jeth, and called upon Freedon Nadd. The two were defeated, and Amanoa slain. Ommin survived, but when he and his surviving forces attempted to recover Nadd's sarcophagus, he fell afoul of Ulic Qel-Droma, who used the life-support systems to his advantage, slicing it with his lightsaber. Ommin collapsed, to beaten down to fight. Freedon Nadd then stole Ommin's soul, taking it to the embrace of the dark side.

ienar, Raith

Raith Sienar was the head of Sienar Fleet Systems which was responsible for producing the Galactic Empire's TIE fighters. Raith Sienar also had plans for a Death Star-like battle station. However, he later let Grand Moff Tarkin take credit for the design since he no longer had interest in the project. He preferred the sleek to the grandiose, and was the inventor of the Sith Infiltrator.

Tarkin was Sienar's childhood friend, and both of them knew and understood the upper-classes of Coruscant. When Tarkin offered him a job finding the legendary planet of Zenoma Sekot, Sienar was wary. The mission, which he accepted, failed, but Sienar was forgiven—his designs served a number of customers, including Darth Sidious, and so he could not be punished by the Old Republic.

u, Lama

Lama Su is a tall, lithesome alien and Prime Minister of the storm-shrouded planet Kamino. He resides in Tipoca City, the capital of Kamino. When Obi-Wan Kenobi comes to Kamino, Lama Su meets with him and shows him the massive clone army. He dresses in a flowing silver robe with a large collar.

Commissioned by an enigmatic Jedi Master named Sifo-Dyas, Lama Su developed an impressive clone army of thousands of troops. Far removed from galactic affairs by virtue of Kamino's remote location, and the natural Kaminoan predilection for isolation, Lama Su never questioned the role of the army or its eventual use in the Clone Wars. He simply took great pride in the skills displayed by those in his employ.

Years later, the Galactic Empire was sent to take control of the Kaminoan cloning facility in order to add to their reinforcements. Lama Su took action to prevent this from happening by building a second army of clones to repel the invasion. Despite his efforts, Lama Su was killed by Boba Fett who was sent by the Empire to stop the creation of the clone army.

Lama Su appears in "".

He does not speak in the movies save for a barely audible exchange with Jar Jar Binks in ' in which his only line is "Watch it." He had scripted dialogue for ' which did not make the final cut of the film. He was a member of the Loyalist Committee. Like Mas Amedda and Jar Jar Binks, his absence from the original trilogy is unexplained.

His lack of appearances in the Expanded Universe leaves his post-"Revenge of the Sith" fate a mystery.

Although his obese appearance makes it clear that he is indulgent, Orn Free Taa does have the best interests of the Twi'lek people in mind.

According to George Lucas, his name was inspired by corn fritters, which were on the studio's lunch menu that day.

Granta Omega, one of the galaxy's richest inhabitants, offered him and four other bounty hunters a great amount of money to capture Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker dead or alive. In the finished cut of the film, Toora was digitally replaced with Rogwa Wodrata. Instead, Toora can be seen at the very end of the film in the Chancellor's box, overlooking the new Clone Army landing upon Coruscant. One must assume from this that Toora remained a loyalist during the events of the Clone Wars and continued to represent Sy Myrth in the Galactic Senate. Although she did not appear in Episode III, it is safe to say she would have still been a senator as no other Sy Myrthian senator appears in the movie (apart from Brookish Boone).

Nevertheless, just as the Battle of Naboo began, Unch followed Dofine's command to activate the battle droids down on the surface of the planet. Unch died when the "Profiteer" was destroyed by Anakin Skywalker at the end of the battle, immediately after informing Dofine of the ship's impending destruction.

Vastor, Kar

Kar Vastor is a fictional character in the Expanded Universe novel "Shatterpoint" by Matthew Stover. He is a member of the Korunnai people that live on the planet Haruun Kal. Like all Korunnai, Kar Vastor is a Force-user. Kar uses dual-edged tear-shaped vibroshields made of superconductive material harvested from a Jedi spaceship that crashed on the planet centuries before. This material is resistant to lightsabers, able to deflect blows but not sustained contact with the energy blade. It can also reflect laser energy blasts and deflect solid bullets, or "slugs" Kar has trained several soldiers, known as the Akk guards for their Force-linked animal companions, called Akk dogs. Mace Windu states that Kar has control of the Force, or Pelekotan in the native Korunnai language, on the level of a Jedi Knight, while never receiving formal Jedi or Sith training.

When Kar Vastor was fourteen, he saw his entire family murdered by jungle prospectors. He escaped and lived in the jungle alone without supplies. This is when he gained his unusual power in the Force. He lost human speech along the way and speaks in the voices of the jungle. This is also where he found the downed Jedi spaceship.

Vastor is personally imposing. His head is shorn bald, he is very tall, with bulging muscles, physically strong and fearless. Kar Vastor eventually fights Jedi Master Mace Windu on Haruun Kal. Their rounds are bloody and vicious. While Windu is more skilled overall, he is unable to decisively defeat Vastor. Even though Windu was landing more blows and causing more damage to Vastor, he would heal in a matter of seconds and come right back for more. He learned to respect Mace Windu's great skill in Vaapad and his martial skills in the Teräs Käsi arts, as Mace was striking him so fast that his strikes were invisible to the naked eye.

Kar Vastor is gravely injured by Mace Windu after he (Vastor) began the systematic destruction of the city of Pelek Baw on Haruun Kal, and taken back to Coruscant to stand trial on the charge of crimes against civilization, a charge which had not been used since the Sith War. This is also the charge that Master Depa Billaba would have faced except she was in a Force coma, self-induced after aiding Vastor in his crimes and realizing her crimes.

King Veruna (d. 32 BBY), also known as His Royal Highness, King Veruna of Naboo, is a character in the Star Wars saga, the former king of Naboo. He is Queen Padmé Amidala's predecessor.

King Veruna abdicated the throne and went into hiding after a thirteen-year reign surrounded by scandal. He was found dead six months prior to the Battle of Naboo, and though his death was ruled accidental many suspect that he was assassinated by unknown reasons.

Captain Magneta, who had been the head of Veruna's security, stepped down following the king's death and was replaced by Captain Panaka. It was partly because of the mystery surrounding Veruna's death that Panaka developed the plan of employing decoys for Queen Amidala.

Thirteen years after the Battle of Naboo, it was discovered that Naboo's then-senator Palpatine was in reality the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, who had masterminded the blockade crisis that led to the battle for Naboo. Sidious secretly controlled the Trade Federation and had significant influence in the senate and was an advisor to then-chancellor Valorum. It is believed that the Sith Lords had King Veruna murdered because they wanted a new monarch who would be more vulnerable. Queen Amidala played this role perfectly.

Both Jango and Boba thank Taun We for her kindness towards them over the last 10 years, and they tell her that they must leave for a while. The two Mandalorians give Taun We a holo-book, describing all the good times, she had, when watching over Boba. Several days later, after the Battle of Geonosis, Boba returns to Kamino, to retrieve a "black book" of his father's. A Jedi Knight named Siri Tachi arrives on Kamino to inspect the Fett clones and also searches for a missing Firespray ship, stolen a few years ago, which was rumored to be somewhere on Kamino. Siri almost catches Boba, but Taun We chooses to help and covers Boba's escape from Tipoca City and Kamino. 20 years later, after the end of the Rebellion of Kamino battle, Boba again meets Taun We, and Boba apologizes for his actions on Kamino, saying he had no hard feelings to her and that it was only a hired job from the Empire, as he was now a bounty hunter himself. The two old friends then bid their farewells to one another, and they parted ways. Eventually Taun We and several other imperial Kaminoan slaves are forced by the Galactic Empire to create and breed more clones to become Imperial Stormtroopers, thus starting the Stormtrooper Corps program on Kamino. 20 years later, after the fall of the Galactic Empire and the rise of the New Republic, Taun We would later seek out and hire Boba Fett to track down and eliminate the Mandalorians who attacked Kamino during the Clone Wars.

After Palpatine seized total control of the former Republic and created the Empire. He gave orders to the Internal Security Buerau to monitor Zar's dealings and movements and demanded he stay in Imperial Center until he had been questioned by ISB agents.
