* Government House, Alberta - opened on October 7, 1913 and closed in 1938. A second residence was opened in 1950 and demolished in 2004. A new Government House is under consideration ( [http://www.lieutenantgovernor.ab.ca/index_2.cfm?choice=welcome&subchoice=Residence see here] )
* Government House, Battleford - built in 1877 and destroyed by fire in 2003. Served as the seat of the Northwest Territories from 1878 to 1883.
* Government House, Ontario - the first Government House was built in Toronto in 1868. It was torn down in 1912 and a new Government House was built at Chorley Park. It was sold off in 1938 and the Lieutenant-Governor now has an official suite (non-residential) in the Ontario Legislature.

However, the official residences of the Governor General of Canada are Rideau Hall in Ottawa and La Citadelle in Quebec City. Rideau Hall is often referred to as Government House in formal contexts such as royal proclamations.
