Johan Castberg

Johan Castberg

Johan Castberg (1862-1926) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Democrats. He was Minister of Justice 1908-1910, Minister of Trade in 1913, and Minister of Social Affairs 1913-1914. He was the brother-in-law of Katti Anker Møller, and the two of them were responsible for implementing the highly progressive so-called Castberg laws, granting rights to children born out of wedlock.
