Alfonso Carlos of Bourbon, Duke of San Jaime

Alfonso Carlos of Bourbon, Duke of San Jaime

Alfonso Carlos de Bourbon, Duke of San Jaime (London 12 September 1849-Vienna 29 September 1936) was the Legitimist claimant to the throne of France under the name "Alphonse-Charles I and the Carlist claimant to the throne of Spain under the name Alfonso Carlos I"'.

He was the second son of Juan of Bourbon and Archduchess Beatrix of Austria-Este. His maternal grandparents were Francis IV, Duke of Modena and Maria Beatrice of Savoy.

He married Infanta Maria Neves of Portugal, a daughter of Miguel of Portugal and Adelaide of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg. They had one son, who however died in childhood. He left no surviving issue.

The Carlist claim passed on to Xavier, Duke of Parma.
