Bubble Shooter

Bubble Shooter is a puzzle-shooter computer game originally developed for Microsoft Windows by Absolutist Games in 2000. A clone of Puzzle Bobble, it combines the features of puzzle, shooter, strategy and action games. Since 2000 the game has been updated and ported to many computer platforms. It is highly addictive.

As three or more bubbles of the same color are placed together, they disappear. Upon level completion, i.e. removing all the bubbles from the field, a player may see the so-called bubble fireworks, a number of multicolored bubbles exploding in a manner of firework and proceed to the next level.

Interface

A playing field of Bubble Shooter Deluxe is half-filled with multicolored bubbles, which makes a good contrast with the pastel game background. A 2D interface of the game involves pseudo-3d effects creating a vision of genuine bubbles on a computer screen.

Features

One of the game’s notable features is its realistic physics based on the laws of liquid motion. During the game bubbles may wave, change their size, shake and explode. Bubble Shooter Deluxe has a similarity to billiards in the way bubbles are ricocheted from the walls.
