"Foreign Affair" is the seventh solo album by Tina Turner, released on Capitol Records in 1989. Although the album did not perform as well as "Private Dancer" and "Break Every Rule" in the U.S., it was a world-wide hit, selling over 6 million copies [ [http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9F0CE5DD163EF934A35757C0A962958260 New York Times - 30 June 2007: Foreign Affairs sales of 6 million] ] . This made "Foreign Affair", mainly produced by the late Dan Hartman, another great hit album for Tina Turner and her solo career, topping most of the European albums charts. In Europe it also spun off no less than six highly successful single releases; "The Best", "Steamy Windows", "I Don't Wanna Lose You", "Foreign Affair", "Look Me In The Heart" and "Be Tender With Me Baby". The album included four tracks written by Tony Joe White, besides "Steamy Windows" and the title track also "You Know Who (Is Doing You Know What)" and "Undercover Agent For The Blues" and four by Albert Hammond; "I Don't Wanna Lose You", "Be Tender With Me Baby", "You Can't Stop Me Loving You" and "Not Enough Romance".

While the album failed to crack the top 30 of the U.S. "Billboard" 200, "Foreign Affair" hit #1 on the UK Top 75 and sold over 200,000 copies in its 1st week.
