Outer Planets Mission Analysis Group

The Jet Propulsion Laboratory is the NASA center primarily responsible for robotic space missions to the planets of our solar system. The group within JPL that is responsible for the design of missions to the outer planets (the planets beyond Mars) is the Outer Planets Mission Analysis Group. Besides being responsible for mission design tasks, this group also develops the techniques and software tools required for designing and optimizing interplanetary trajectories.
