Bizen Museums

Bizen, in Okayama Prefecture, hosts two kiln-site museums devoted to the display of ceramics. Bizen is the site of internationally renowned Bizen ware, unglazed stoneware that has existed from at least the Kamakura period (1185–1333) to the present.

* Bizen Ceramics Hall displays Bizen ware by contemporary potters and a small collection of Old Bizen.
* Bizen Old Ceramics Art Museum has a collection of more than 500 pieces.
