Henderson Group plc (lse|HGI, asx|HGI) is a British asset management company based in the City of London. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index. It is also listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.

History

The Company was established in 1934 to administer the estates of Lord Faringdon. It was first listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1983. In 1992 it went on to acquire Touche Remnant, an investment management firm. It was bought by AMP Limited in 1998 and was renamed "Henderson Global Investors".

The Company was demerged from AMP Limited as "HHG Group" in 2003. Operations

The Company provides investment management services to institutional, retail and high net-worth clients: a broad range of asset classes is offered including equities, fixed income, property and private capital.

Henderson is based at 4 Broadgate Circle, but is expected to move to 201 Bishopsgate in 2008.
