Stephen McCowage

Stephen McCowage is a songwriter and guitarist. He was a founding member and played lead guitar with the Australian 1980s psychedelic 1960s-inspired band Prince Vlad & the Gargoyle Impalers and the indie rock band The Mexican Spitfires.

Stephen wrote "Rookwood" the country inspired homage to Rookwood Cemetery which appeared on The Mexican Spitfires' debut record "Lupe Velez". He left the band in 1989.
