The Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission was established as the arts council in Sacramento, California, United States in 1977.
The Commission runs under the California state arts council, the California Arts Council (CAC). It is guided by 11 Commissioners, five appointed by the Sacramento City Council, five appointed by the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors, and one appointed jointly by the mayors of Folsom, Isleton, and Galt.
