Anwar ul-Haq Ahady

Professor Doctor Anwar ul-Haq Ahady is an Afghan politicianFact|date=May 2008 and academicFact|date=May 2008, and the top finance official in Afghanistan. Born the son of Abdul Haqhas, he holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), as well as a Ph.D in political scienceFact|date=May 2008 from the post-graduate faculty of Northwestern University, in Evanston, Ill., north of Chicago. He earned a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree, in economics and political science, from the American University of Beirut, in LebanonFact|date=May 2008. Ahadi has served as an assistant professor of political science at Carleton College in Northfield, Minn., in the United States, and as the banking director of Continental Elona of Chicago from 1985-1987. From 1987 to 2002, he was a professor of political science at Providence College, a Roman Catholic university in Providence, R.I. In 2002, he was made the governor of Da Afghanistan Bank (the central bank of Afghanistan). Currently he is the finance minister of Afghanistan and also the head of the Pashtun nationalist "Afghan Mellat" party.

He has many writings in academic journals, books and popular dailies of the U.S.
