Near future

The near future is the future that is not far away in time.

As a term

tense exists in French, where it is called the "futur proche". Example: "Je vais aller au cinema", which means "I am going to go to the cinema". The action is set to happen soon; the action is imminent: "Kindly arrange to have him received and advise us of his safe arrival".

In value theory

Objects that generate intrinsic value in the near future have short term instrumental value.

As a Noun

"The Near Future" was a 1919 lyric composed by Irving Berlin, which had the words of the famous lines HOW DRY I AM in it. The song was to promote Prohibition which was passed in 1920
