Annandale-on-Hudson is a hamlet in Dutchess County, New York, USA, in the Hudson Valley in the Town of Red Hook, across the Hudson River from Kingston.

The town takes its name from an estate donated by John Bard and his wife to Columbia University so that a college could be formed there. Today, Bard College stands on the land that John Bard donated. Bard College houses the only post office for Annandale-on-Hudson's ZIP code, 12504.

*The area is immortalized in Steely Dan's 1973 song "My Old School". The group's founder members Walter Becker and Donald Fagen originally met and started playing music together at Bard College.
*Annandale Music Company is the publishing company of the Oscar winning songwriter, Richard M. Sherman who makes up one half of the Sherman Brothers. Along with brother Robert, Richard went to Bard College, attending in the late 1940s.

*It is the hometown of the X-Men character Jean Grey and her family in the fictional Marvel Universe. New York
