John Quiggin (born
29 March 1956 inAdelaide ) is anAustralia n economist and professor at theUniversity of Queensland . Quiggin studied at theAustralian National University , obtainingbachelor's degree s in Arts andEconomics in 1978 and 1980 respectively, and completing amaster's degree in Economics in 1984. Quiggin was awarded hisPhD from the University of New England in 1988.
