International Power plc (lse|IPR) is an international electricity generator formed in 2000 by the demerger of National Power. International Power was listed on the London Stock Exchange on 2 October 2000.

International Power is headquartered at Senator House, 85 Queen Victoria Street in the City of London.

After a two and a half year absence International Power rejoined the FTSE 100 Index in March 2005.

History

Operations

International Power plc is a leading independent electricity generating company with 18,935MW (net) in operation and 149MW (net) under construction. International Power has power plants in operation or under construction in Australia, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Puerto Rico and Thailand.
