Omar Abdulrahman Ahmed Alraaki Al Amoodi (Arabic: عمر عبدالرحمن احمد الراقي العمودى‎; born 20 September 1991) commonly known as Amoory, is an Emirati footballer of Yemeni descent. who plays as a Midfielder or forward for Al Ain and the UAE national football team.

Early life

Omar was born in Riyadh, to a family of Yemeni descent, he grew up there in a poor environment, began playing football in Hwary Riyadh at the arena Malaz, he drew the attention of many clubs in Riyadh, But Al Hilal was the closest to sign him and Omar was a fans of this club, and offered him the Saudi nationality only to him but his term was the naturalization of the entire family, he reject the offer. Al Ain Scout In Saudi Arabia Sami Al Jaber a retired Saudi footballer had been made aware of his talent to Al Ain, Al Ain agreed to grant citizenship to his whole family, and then the family moved to the United Arab Emirates, he joined the club with two of his brothers. He enrolled in the club's youth academy.

Omar began his career at the Al Ain Academy he was playing for the Al Ain FC U-17, but because his talent, the German coach Winfried Schäfer Included him to the first team after seeing him at Al Ain International Under-17 Football 2009, He Received an offer from Club RCD Espanyol when he was at Al Ain International Under-17 Football 2009 and Espanyol coach said to reporters about his admiration for his performance, but the deal fail and he stayed with Al Ain.

2008–09 season

Omar made his official debut for the first-team on 24 January 2009 at the age of 17 years, in Etisalat Cup against Al Ahli when he coming on as a Substitute for Ahmed Khamis in the 77 min and 20 sec.[3] After two months of his first debut, On 27 March 2009, he income substitutional for Faisal Ali at the 70 min in the second leg of the Etisalat Cup semi-final against Al Jazira in a 1–0 win, he shot a strong ball but hit the crossbar and returned to Dias who scored the only goal in the match.[4] On 3 April 2009, omar won his first club honour, after Al Ain defeated Al Wahda in the Etisalat Cup Final. After a week, On 13 April, he won his second club honour, President's Cup in a 1–0 win against Al Shabab. On 18 April 2009, He made his debut in the Pro-League in a 5–0 victory over Ajman. On 11 May 2009, he scored his first goal in the Pro-League in a 2–2 draw with Al Ahli. He followed with another goal against Al Dhafra. On 15 April 2009, against Al Wasl, he scored the 101 goal for Al Ain in the two clubs Matches history. in the last Pro-League match, On 24 April 2009, he scored his third goal in league in a 2–0 win over Al Shaab.

2010–11 season

In this season, Omar became a first team regular, after the departure of Valdivia from the club, he inherited the number 10 jersey. On 28 August 2010, Omar scored with a free kick and assisted teammate Jose Sand in a 4–3 win at Dubai in his first start of the season.[5] On 20 September 2010, during the second round of the President's Cup, Omar scored his first goal in the cups in a 5–0 victory over Masfout.[6] He scored a goal from a penalty in a 1–2 defeat to Al Ahli on 30 September.[7] against Al Wasl on 27 October 2010, where he assisted another goal for teammate Mohanad Salem to turn a 1–1 to a 2–1 in a second half but the match went to draw 2-2.[8] In a 1–4 defeat to Ittihad on 30 September he also assisted team-mate Faris.[9] He once again assisted team-mate Jose Sand in a 1–1 draw against Al Shabab on 23 December 2010.[10] On 12 May 2011, Al Ain announced an update to Omar's contract and extended until 2015.[11]

On 1 June 2011, He led his team to beat Al Jazira 4-1 by scoring two goals and assist the fourth.[12] On 12 June 2011, Omar was named Pro-League Most promising player of the Year for the second time by Emirati newspaper Al Ittihad.[13] Omar ended the season by scoring 11 goals and assisted 8 in 29 matches in all competition.

Omar was the youngest player in the UAE squad [14] and seventh in the list of youngest player in the tournament.[15] In his first official match at international competitions against North Korea, Omar came on as a substitute for Ismail Matar in the 90+2nd minute, was unable to play just for a few minutes, the match ended in 0-0 draw. On the third and last group stage match against Iran he came on as a substitute for Ali Al-Wehaibi in the 53rd minute, he try to add something to the match but the match ended in a 3–0 loss.[16]

Omar has three older brothers also involved in football: Mohamed Abdulrahman a forward, Khaled Abdulrahman a defender at the same club with omar, and Ahmed Abdulrahman, who plays for Masfout.
