Parnaíba is a port city in Piauí, Brazil, on the right bank of the Parnaíba River, 400 km. below the capital, Teresina.

, at the mouth of the Rio Igaraçu, 18 km. distant.the city its self does not have much of an economic support form lack of exports an although it does have some attraction it lacks in support by the federal government.Parnaiba has two social classes the wealthy and the poor. most people get paid monthly, wage can go anywhere from 130 to 250 dollars depending on job.

Tourism in Parnaíba

The state of Piauí and in particular Parnaíba and Luis Correia are benefiting from a huge amount of interest in Tourism, The state governor Wellington Dias has recently visited Europe (Portugal, Italy and Spain) and seen for himself the benefits Tourism can bring to an area.

The government
