Cast

Chef Blythe Beck has always been the life of the party. As a child growing up in Houston, Blythe wasn’t sure what she wanted to do with her life, but she knew whatever it was – it would be big. Blythe Beck is on a quest for Total World Culinary Domination. The bold, 29 year old chef has caused a major sensation in Dallas with her Sexy New American Cuisine – innovative, decadent dishes powered by her unique philosophy toward food and life: “Keep it naughty.”

As the Executive Chef at Hotel Palomar in Dallas, Blythe can be found sporting her signature pink chef attire, barking orders and sassing her crew in the gorgeous show kitchen at Central 214, the boutique hotel’s premiere restaurant. Her large and loyal fan base spans every age, race, size, gender and sexual orientation, celebrating Blythe’s passion for food, her lust for life, and her recipe for guilt-free living.

“My goal is to create amazingly memorable food with the freshest ingredients and lots of love you can taste,” she says. “It’s meant to celebrate you in the good times, it’s there to comfort you in the sad times, and it will cheer you on when you’ve done well.”

Eric (aka Jimmy or Monkey) is the Sous Chef Sous chef#Sous chef at Central 214 responsible for making outstanding food, managing the kitchen crew and taking crap from his boss – both in the kitchen and in the closet-sized office they share.

Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Eric attended [1] Le Cordon Bleu at the Texas Culinary Academy. His talent, ambition and passion for bold flavors make him a good fit with his executive chef. Eric craves chili cheese fries and Tater Tots, but if Eric could choose his last meal on earth, it would be chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and an ice cold beer.

Megan is the General Manager of Central 214. Megan is constantly multi-tasking, spinning plates, and dodging curve-balls to make the restaurant run smoothly and successfully. Often seen sprinting through the halls in high heels, the self-proclaimed workaholic is on a mission to always get the job done.

Megan majored in hotel/restaurant management at the University of Missouri and has been working at Central 214 for the past three years. She loves her job and would like to move up the corporate ladder and become a regional manager for Kimpton Hotels Kimpton Hotels & Restaurant Group and Restaurants, the mother ship of Central 214. She loves Vietnamese and Thai food, but her favorite meal is green olive and cheese pizza on wheat crust from her favorite Missouri pizza joint.

Kerri is an Event Coordinator and native Texan. She attended beauty school and worked in a hair salon before making a major career change. Even though she had a fear of flying and had never really left Dallas, Kerri became a flight attendant – singing for passengers and hiding in overhead bins to entertain the travelers. She has been the Event Coordinator at Central 214 for a year and loves planning and executing special events for new and interesting clients.

When she’s not working, Kerri is fishing or playing 9-ball in her pool league. She prefers small town life, living near a lake in East Texas with Lucy, her 125-pound German Sheppard/Greyhound who thinks she’s a princess, not a dog. Kerri has no interest in cooking and doesn’t eat vegetables. Her favorite meal is pot roast, potatoes, mac-n-cheese, and a dinner roll.

Curtis is what Blythe and her staff affectionately call a 'Door Whore.' Curtis is Central 214’s new summer host, but he prefers to call himself a “Spacial Arrangement Coordinator,” because he thinks it sounds much more dignified than “Door Whore.”

Born in Chicago and raised in Garland, Texas, Curtis attended Southern Methodist University Southern Methodist University , earning a degree in advertising with a minor in corporate communications and public affairs. Outside work, Curtis spends his time being a karaoke all-star, and lately, being mistaken for American Idol’s Adam LambertAdam Lambert. Admittedly obsessed with his appearance, Curtis will do whatever it takes to look good and young and never age. He is a former tennis instructor with the calves to prove it, and enjoys running and rollerblading with his dog, Chance. The sarcastic, social, competitive flirt says there are two things he absolutely cannot live without: Tex Mex Tex-Mex and margaritas.

Emily is another 'Door Whore' at Central 214. A 21-year-old Texas native, Emily is finding out who she is, what the world has to offer her and what she has to offer the world. After dreams of becoming a veterinarian were lost ,following a serious dog bite, she now plans to attend a technological institute  – and would love to work with children in the medical field. Before settling into a full time career, she wants to be a flight attendant so she can have the opportunity to travel while she is still young.

Emily has been a “door whore” at Central 214 for a year and enjoys the customer service aspect, but admits it’s challenging at times – always having to smile and accommodate the customer’s needs. Spontaneous and “down for whatever,” She states that she absolutely cannot live without sushi.

Calvin is Central 214’s seasoned, hunky waiter, and clearly Blythe’s favorite. Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Calvin grew up playing high school football. It was also in Nashville that he met his childhood sweetheart, Adheenaw, who later became his wife. As a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University Middle Tennessee State University, Calvin earned a degree in Radio & Television. However, after a few not-so-glamorous stints in local TV, Calvin decided to opt out of the television industry and pursue other interests.

In 1999, Calvin and his wife moved to Dallas where they began raising a family. The self-proclaimed “family man” is now the father of three young girls. His family enjoys their time together hosting backyard BBQ's and watching Tennessee Titans football games Tennessee Titans. Calvin confesses that while Blythe is all about the pork fat, he would gladly choose a slice of cheesecake over a slab of bacon any day of the week.

Robynn is Central 214’s queen cocktail waitress who has worked at the restaurant for two years. While her job is stressful, she admits that carrying around pretty drinks feels much more glamorous than trays of food.

A southern girl with a sweet Mississippi accent, Robyn majored in fashion design at the University of Southern Mississippi. She attended the Design Academy in Toronto, where she ultimately realized she doesn’t quite have the sewing skills or patience to design.

Robyn has a huge appetite for fashion and always has. She has years of retail experience as a personal shopper at high-end boutiques and a healthy obsession with women's fashion magazines. When she’s not working, she’s writing about fashion. Robyn aspires to write for "Glamour" magazine Glamour (magazine) someday, and has been accepted into the journalism program at The New School The new school in New York City for fall.

Sam is the Cocktail Server/Waiter at Central 214. Fairly new to Dallas, having moved from Louisiana just over a year ago, Sam is single and sassy, he’s looking to explore the city and make new friends. The compassionate cynic tries to find humor in every situation, even with restaurant patrons who treat the cocktail server like he’s less than human.

When Sam’s not working, he plays in a local kickball league and also likes to read. However his true passion, when he’s not schmoozing Central 214 diners, is the non-profit work that he does. He makes a mean Bananas Foster, but when it comes to food, Sam swears by [2] Johnny’s Pizza in Shreveport, Louisiana. He once paid $113 to have a Johnny’s take-n-bake pepperoni pizza packed in dry ice and sent over-night to his home in Dallas.
