National Physician Assistant Week

National Physician Assistant Week is celebrated annually from October 6 through October 12. This week was chosen to commemorate the anniversary of the first graduating Physician Assistant class at Duke University on October 6, 1967.[1] October 6 is also the birthday of Dr. Eugene Stead, the founder of the PA profession.
