Nadia Bouras (born 1981, Amsterdam, The Netherlands) is a Dutch historian of Moroccan descent.[1]

She graduated with an MA degree in history from the Free University of Amsterdam and is working towards her PhD on "gender and migration" at Leiden University.[2] Her MA thesis was titled "De migratie van Marokkaanse vrouwen naar Nederland, 1967-1980." (Migration of Moroccan women to The Netherlands, 1967-1980).[3] She is also one of four Moroccan Dutch members of the "Conseil de la Communauté Marocaine à l'Étranger" (Assembly of Overseas Moroccan Community Council) or CCME.[4] She appeared on Dutch television several times, including talk shows VARA "Pauw en Witteman" and Netherlands Muslim Broadcaster (NMO) "InFocus".[5] and current affairs programme EénVandaag.[6] In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the treaty allowing mass-recruitment of Moroccans for Dutch industries, Bouras was asked to write a book with co-authors Annemarie Cottaar and Fatiha Laouikili. The book entitled "Marokkanen in Nederlands: de pioniers vertellen" (Moroccans in The Netherlands: the pioneers tell) deals with the history of arrival, settlement and integration of Moroccans in Dutch society.[2][7]

In the light of the 2011 North African/Middle East revolutions, Dutch Moroccans blasted her for not criticizing the Moroccan regime. According to a variety of grass-roots diaspora organizations, Nadia Bouras has collaborated with the Moroccan regime.
