Muppets: The Green Album is a cover album of popular Muppet songs by various contemporary music artists.[1] The album was released by Walt Disney Records on August 23, 2011 on CD and as a digital download in the iTunes Store.[2][3]

The entire album was made available for preview through NPR's First Listen program a week before release.[4] The official music video for "The Muppet Show Theme" was released online and for purchase on August 19, 2011. The video features OK Go attempting to produce their own music video until they are interrupted by the Muppets' antics.[5]

Muppets: The Green Album received generally positive reviews from music critics.[11] At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 63, based on 6 reviews, indicating "generally favorable reviews".[11]

Consequence of Sound wrote that; "All that's "green" isn’t necessarily gold here, but most of it shines. "[7]
