Moravče is a settlement and a municipality in central Slovenia. Traditionally the area was part of the Upper Carniola region. The entire municipality is now included in the Central Slovenia statistical region. The village is home to about 850 people and the population of the municipality is about 4,852.^[2]

The parish church in the settlement is dedicated to Saint Martin and belongs to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Ljubljana. It is a Late Gothic building that was extended and restyled in the Baroque in 1740. Its 19th-century facade has two belfries.^[3]
