Milton of Leys lies on high ground overlooking the Moray Firth, 3 miles (5 km) southeast of the city centre, to the west of the A9 road. It has developed largely since the 1990s as a residential settlement. Construction of a primary school in Milton of Leys began in June 2010, it is scheduled to open in August 2011[2]. Currently pupils travel to Inshes Primary School.
