Matthew Kramer

Matthew Kramer is Professor of Legal and Political Philosophy at the University of Cambridge[1] and Fellow and Director of Studies in Law at Churchill College, Cambridge .[2]

Matthew H. Kramer was born in Massachusetts and educated at Cornell (B.A.) (where he became a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society), Harvard (J.D.), and Cambridge (Ph.D. and LL.D.). He has advanced degrees in both Philosophy and Law. His thirteen books and four co-edited books range over many areas of legal, political, and moral philosophy. At the undergraduate level, he lectures and supervises in Jurisprudence; he also teaches two courses in the postgraduate LL.M. program. He formerly supervised in Tort Law as well, and he still maintains an oversight of the performance of first-year students at Churchill in that subject. He is in his tenth year as Professor of Legal and Political Philosophy within the University and in his eighteenth year as a Fellow of Churchill College. He was a Visiting Professor at Hebrew University of Jerusalem in April 2009, and he will be a Visiting Professor at the University of Tel Aviv in March 2012.
