Dutch Cup (ice hockey)

Dutch Cup (ice hockey)

The Dutch Cup, better known in Dutch as the "Beker" or "Bekercompetitie", is the national ice hockey cup in the Netherlands. It was held from 1938-1939, and 1971-present. The Dutch Cup is usually an autumn competition that precedes or runs simultaneously with the regular season of the Dutch/Belgian professional ice hockey league and is open only to the Dutch teams of that league.

The Dutch Cup is a separate competition from the Dutch National Championship, which is determined in a playoff at the end of the Dutch league season.
