Douglas Al-Bazi

Douglas Joseph Shim'on Al-Bazi (1972– ) is a known catholic priest lives in New Baghdad, Baghdad, Iraq. He owns St. Elya's Church and he's the friend of Bishop Bashar Warda. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Philosophy and Theology.

On November 2006 Father Douglas was kidnapped by a militant group, and was released after ten days or more. He suffered multiple injuries including two broken vertebrae from his spinal cord, and his face was smashed by a hammer.[1]
