Diamonds Under Fire is the moniker used by Los Angeles based rock, songwriter, singer & guitarist Vanessa Silberman.[2]

Taking major influences from alternative groups, 80's new wave, 60's & 70's classic rock & modern pop radio. Vanessa is known for her bare bones, raw rock 'n' roll style live shows & breathy vocals, Silberman has stirred up comparisons to Nirvana, Liz Phair, Smashing Pumpkins, Chrissie Hynde, and PJ Harvey.[3]

Diamonds Under Fire's[4] first national tour was in 2005 with indie rock band Radio Vago[5](Buddyhead Records) sponsored by Vans Shoes, Gibson and ROCKRGRL Magazine.

Silberman[6] was featured and had a cover-call out in June 2007 issue of Guitar Player Magazine.[7]

Diamonds Under Fire[8] started tracking a new batch of self-produced[9] songs in the Fall of 2010 at Paul Green (musician)'s Studio House in Long Island, New York. Diamonds Under fire released this record on April 12, 2011.

Diamonds Under Fire supported Uh Huh Her on their 2011 spring US tour.
