Dearie is an Irish surname, and may refer to:

  • Blossom Dearie (1924-2009), Irish singer
  • John Dearie (21st century), Irish novelist
  • Raymond J. Dearie (born 1944), Irish judge
  • Lord Dearie (born 1667), Irish Lord who fought in the Williamite Wars for King James II.
  • Sheamus Dearie (born 1771), Irish Lord Freedom Fighter who fought against the British in the 1798 Irish Rebellion.

Dearie is a name engrained in the History of County Cork and Irish History. Lord Dearie a Staunch Irish Catholic who fought for King James II against William and his Protestant Invaders.

Sheamus Dearie took up arms against British Oppression in the 1798 Rebellion. He is to have first said the infamous Irish Republican phrase "tiocfaidh Ár lá".
