Daniel J Quirk

Dan Quirk (Daniel J Quirk) is the owner and CEO of Quirk Auto Group, a group of 15 car dealerships in Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. He has been in the automotive business for over 35 years and is an important figure in the New England car dealer community.

History

Dan Quirk was Born and raised in Lowell, Massachusetts. Neither of his parents owned a car, so this became his main interest. After serving in the military, he worked as a pipe-fitter. In 1973 he bought his first used car dealership.

In 1977 he purchased his first new Chevrolet car dealership in Braintree, MA.^[1]

Since the purchase of Quirk's first new car dealership, he now owns 11 dealerships in Massachusetts and 4 dealerships in Manchester, NH. He has been in business for over 35 years ^[2] and is accredited with the Better Business Bureau ^[3] and has an A+ rating.

Community Involvement

Quirk is known for giving back to his local community through charitable activities. Quirk is part of the South Shore Hospital Presidents Circle ^[4] donating more than $25,000 to the South Shore Hospital. Dan Quirk is deeply involved with charitable health care and veterans causes.

Every year Quirk teams up with toys for tots and sets up collection bins in all of the Massachusettes and New Hampshire dealerships ^[5]

In 2002 Quirk purchased the long abandoned Fore River Shipyard at a federal auction. He plans to turn the 111 acre waterfront property into rooms for retail, office, and residential properties, as well as a marine industrial component. ^[6]
