Action Bullet

Action Bullet

Action Bullet is a U.S. rock band, formed in 1978 in Los Angeles.

History

The idea of setting up the Action Bullet team came from one of the founding members, Cliff.

Cliff

Helmut changed his name to Cliff after getting tired of beating up all the kids that were picking on him when he was only 16 years old after moving to USA from Germany only few years earlier. His English wasn't too good at the time but he thought the name change would help him to fulfill his dream he had had since he was a little tennisplaying brat in Germany. He wanted to be a rockstar and he was well on his way when he learned to sing and play guitar as one.

After the name change, Cliff's life took a u-turn to hell and he wound up hanging around in the streets with other kids who smoked cigarettes, stole booze from liquor stores, and had sex with various hot chicks over the time. Then was when he got to know the other members of the soon to be Action Bullet. They were a long-haired, leather outfitted and nasty habited gang who worshipped a man called Snake-eye. They were Marc MacCool, Rollie Spunk, Jack Beam and Jim Daniels.

Marc

Marc MacCool was a mysterious and feared figure who had always been living in the streets and never went to any schools. All he knew was fighting, drinking and "scoring with hot chicks." Somewhere along the way he developed himself an amazing skill to play guitar. He was to be the lead guitarist of Action Bullet.

Rollie

Rollie Spunk, also known as the "Thunderfist" as the guys used to call him, was no exception in this violent and ill-habited gang he grew up with. Rollie was the man to blame if your car got stolen or your wife got pregnant in the hoods. Rollie was, and is today, a true womenizer and a real man when it comes to drinking. His fast hands made him an excellent drummer to the band that was to be founded.

Jack and Jim

Jack Beam and Jim Daniels, keyboards and bass, were more of background figures in the gang. People knew very little about them but there have always been wild rumours in the streets about this silent and gloomy mysterious pair. Their past was a something that they took to their graves. They died in most peculiar circumstances. Jack was crushed under of a tipping aeroplane in 1983 and a year after it was Jim's time.

Claude

Action Bullet's current bass player Claude Amour was hired to do some electric works for an Action Bullet gig in Paris, 1984 (he was living there at the time, working as an electrician, illegal and uneducated). Of course he was drinking beer and smoking pot with an electric cable on his other hand at the same time when poor Jim was trying to do his soundcheck. Claude tried to hold the main power cable between his legs so that he could take an another beer, but accidentally dropped his beer can on the power cable and fried Jim Beam like french fries in MacDonald's.

After that accident Jim was replaced by this drunken French electrician Claude Amour and later Ray Banner took over the keyboards.

etting up the band

The band was founded in 1978 in Los Angeles. They took their name from the bullet that killed their idol and fatherfigure Snake-eye in 1976. They played in clubs in Venice Beach and soon got signed to a major record label and were on their way to conquer the world on such places as Wembley Stadion, Tokio, Roskilde and all the largest stages all around the world. They're on that journey still today.
